Looking for some help with a CD, DVD-ROM or DVD you have purchased from us?


When you receive your software please check it is suitable for the equipment you have and meets your own requirements. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BREAK THE OUTER SEAL, UNTIL YOU ARE SURE IT DOES, otherwise we will not be able to refund you if you wanted to return it. Opened discs are limited to a replacement if found faulty.

What if the software you have purchased doesn’t work?

Firstly please take a moment to think about the following information before doing anything else.

Checklist

• PC DVD-ROM - Only works on a Personal Computer(PC). It will NOT work on a Mac or DVD Player

• DVD- Video - Will work on games consoles with a DVD drive, DVD players and both Mac and PCs provided they have a DVD drive with suitable software to enable it to recognise the disc

• Please ensure that the computer you are using meets at least the minimum specification for the software disc you have purchased. For example most driving test software will not work on Netbooks

• Try the disc on another machine

Focus Multimedia products

These are published by The Stationery Office and can be itentified by the DSA logo on the top right hand corner of the front cover. An example of which can be seen below.

Known issues

There is an issue affecting the installation of the Official DSA Theory Test for Car drivers 2012 DVD-ROM on some computers that have an outdated version of Adobe Editions installed on them. You may get something like this appear on the screen.



To correct the issue follow this sequence:

Go to 'Start' > 'Computer' > Right click on the disc > 'Open' > Open the 'Adobe Air Folder' > > Double click the 'AdobeAIRinstaller.exe

Follow the installation wizard process and after clicking finish go to the DSA shortcut on the desktop.

If you never had Adobe Air then you would have had a prompt to install it earlier in the process.


We understand this issue has been resolved in the 2013 edition



We want you to be happy with your purchase and will work with you by providing as much information as we can to ensure you get what you paid for. We would ask you politely therefore not to leave negative feedback with comments such as "Waste of time it won't install on my computer" "It won't work" or "rubbish product" if you have a problem with a disc. This helps no one least of all you. All the products we sell are by reputable companies who sell hundreds of thousands of their products and most of the time there are no issues. They have all been exhaustively tested before being released onto the market.

Please bear in mind your computer has been customised uniquely by you, installing different programmes and antivirus software on it, it is not possible therefore to guarantee that any programme from any software developer will work straight out of the box. You should always be prepared to work with us or the manufacturer as you never know it could turn out to be a configuration setting or a conflict on your computer and nothing to do with the disc at all.

Of course in the unlikely event the disc turns out to be defective then obviously it goes without saying we will replace it free of charge.
